Preferences and feature visibility

Adjust the app to the way you work on your farm.

Preferences let you set your user type and choose which features the app shows. That way the More screen and the forms can be simpler or more detailed.

User type

On the More tab, choose Preferences. In the User type section, you can choose Non-professional or Professional. The setting decides which features are shown by default.

  1. 1

    Choose Non-professional

Choose this if you use products available without training, or grow a garden, an allotment or crops as a hobby.

  2. 2

    Choose Professional

Choose this if you have completed training in using plant protection products, use professional products or sell your crops. This type also shows the plant protection register on the Export data screen.

  3. 3

    Adjust the features yourself

Once you have chosen a user type, you can still turn features on and off yourself in the Feature visibility section.

Feature visibility

In the Feature visibility section, you decide what appears in the app. Turning a feature off hides it from the menu or forms, but does not delete any data you saved earlier.

  1. 1

    Open Feature visibility

Go to More, choose Preferences, then Feature visibility.

  2. 2

    Turn on Workers

Lets you add workers and pick them in the treatment form.

  3. 3

    Turn on Sales

Lets you record crop sales and track the revenue from your crops.

  4. 4

    Turn on Pruning and mowing

Shows the extra activities, such as pruning, mowing and the other entries in the More section of the Add screen.

  5. 5

    Turn on Treatment duration

Adds a field to the treatment form where you record how long the work took.

  6. 6

    Turn on Cadastral parcel number

For farms in Poland: shows the cadastral parcel number for your fields and in some exports.

  7. 7

    Turn on Wind and humidity

Adds the wind speed and air humidity to treatments. They can be detected along with the weather.

  8. 8

    Turn on BBCH stage

Adds the plant growth stage to the treatment form. The BBCH stage appears in the Pick the field and crops step, below the crop selection.

Ready to get to work in the app?

Once your crops, fields and products are set up, you can record treatments and export your data from the Journal.
