SprayNotes guide
Getting started
Set the app up to keep a journal of your work and treatments.
SprayNotes helps you record the work done on your farm, in your orchard or in your garden. It is worth adding the basics first: your crops, your fields and your first Journal entries. After that you pick them from a list instead of typing everything in again.
Key terms
The Journal is the main tab, with a calendar and a list of entries. A crop is a plant you grow, for example apple, strawberry, blueberry, wheat or tomato. A field is a specific plot, orchard block, polytunnel, orchard or any other part of your farm where you work. A treatment is a completed or planned job with a product, such as spraying, fertilizing or fertigation.
- 1
Add crops to your collection
Go to the More tab, choose Crops and add the plants you grow. They can be fruit trees, berries, vegetables, field crops or ornamental plants.
- 2
Add your fields, plots or blocks
Open the Fields tab and add the places where you work. Enter a name, the area and, if you farm in Poland and use this feature, the cadastral parcel number.
- 3
Assign crops to your fields
For each field, choose the crops growing there. In an orchard this could be a block of apple trees; on an arable farm, a field of wheat or maize.
- 4
Record your first Journal entry
Choose Journal on the bottom bar and tap the green + Add button in the bottom right corner. If your journal is empty, the button may say Add your first entry. On the Add screen, choose Spraying, Fertilizing or Fertigation, then fill in the field, crop, product and dosage.
- 5
Use the Journal
Saved entries appear in the calendar and in the list on the Journal tab. Later you can filter them, edit them and export them to PDF, Excel or CSV.
What you can add later
Not everything is needed straight away. You can add products, workers, crop photos, the BBCH stage, weather conditions, harvests, crop sales and other field work at any time.
