Adding crops
Build a collection of the plants you grow.
Crops are the plants you grow on your farm, in your orchard, polytunnel or garden. Once they are in your collection, you can assign them to fields and pick them when you create treatments.
What the collection is
Your crop collection is your own list of plants chosen from the app’s database. You do not have to browse the whole database for every treatment. You add the crops you need to your collection first, then pick them faster for fields, treatments, harvests and sales.
- 1
Open Crops
Go to the More tab, choose Crops, then tap the Add button in the top right corner.
- 2
Search for a plant
Type the crop name in the search box, for example apple, strawberry, blueberry, potato, wheat or tomato.
- 3
Use the categories
You can narrow the list by crop type: Fruit trees, Berries, Vegetables, Field crops, Herbs, Ornamental plants or Other.
- 4
Add the crop to your collection
Tap Add next to the plant you want. Once the crop is in your collection, the app shows it as Added.
- 5
Look at the crop details
Open a crop to see its photos, crop type, varieties, the threats that affect it and the products that protect it.
- 6
Pick the crop for a treatment
When you create a treatment, you pick the crop from your collection. If a plant is not there yet, add it in Crops first.
What crops are for
Crops keep your data organised. With them you can assign plants to fields, filter your entries, give the reason for a treatment, browse the threats that affect a crop and find products that suit it faster.
Removing a crop from your collection
If you no longer grow a plant, you can remove it from your collection. This does not delete the crop from the app’s database, only from your own list.
