Field location on the map
Mark your field on the map or draw its shape yourself.
You set the location in the field form. You can save a point on the map or draw your own outline of the field. For fields in Poland, you can also pick a cadastral parcel.
Marking a point
- 1
Open the field form
Go to the Fields tab, tap the Add button and, in the form, tap Pick on the map next to Field location.
- 2
Stay in the Pick a parcel mode
When the map opens, the Pick a parcel mode is selected. In this mode you can search for an address or tap the map.
- 3
Search for an address
Type an address or place name in the search box. Choosing a result moves the map there.
- 4
Tap the map
Tap the spot where your field is. Outside Poland there is no parcel data, so the app keeps just the point you tapped.
- 5
Confirm the location
Choose Confirm location. The app goes back to the field form and saves the point.
Farms in Poland: picking a parcel
For fields in Poland, the same mode looks up cadastral parcels. You can search for a parcel number, or tap the map and the app loads the parcel at that point, showing its region, number, locality, area and identifier. Choose Use this parcel to save it. Back in the form, the app can fill in the cadastral parcel number and the area in hectares, but only if the area field was empty and the parcel data is available.
Drawing your own shape
Drawing is useful when you want to record an orchard block, a polytunnel, an orchard or part of a larger field.
- 1
Switch to Draw a shape
At the top of the map, choose the Draw a shape mode.
- 2
Add points around the field
Tap the map at each corner of the field’s outline. You need at least three points to confirm.
- 3
Adjust the shape
You can drag points on the map. If you add a point by mistake, use Undo or Clear.
- 4
Confirm the shape
When the outline is ready, tap Confirm shape. The app goes back to the field form and shows a map preview.
