Dosage calculator

The dosage calculator is in the treatment form, next to every product you pick. It works out the amount of product and, for spraying, fertigation and soil drench, the amount of water too.

There is also a standalone calculator, which works without creating a treatment and can also plan your sprayer tank fills. Open it from the calculator icon at the top of the Journal or from Calculator on the More tab.

Where to find the calculator

   Start a treatment

   On the Add screen, choose Spraying, Fertilizing or Fertigation and tap Next.

   Choose the field and crop

   In the first step, choose the crop. The field is optional, but if it has an area, the app can suggest it in the calculator later.

   Go to the products

   In the Reason and products step, add a product from your collection. On the product card, tap Calculator.

The Area mode

The Area mode works out the dose from the area of the field, for example from a rate in kg/ha, g/ha, l/ha or ml/ha. For granular spreading, this mode is always on.

   Choose Area

   If you see the mode switch, choose Area. For granular fertilizing the switch is not shown, because the calculator works by area straight away.

   Enter the dosage from the label

   In the Dosage from the label section, enter the product amount and choose a unit, for example kg/ha or l/ha.

   Fill in the water if needed

   For spraying, fertigation and soil drench, you can also enter the water amount per area, for example l/ha. For granular spreading, the water amount is not needed.

   Check the treated area

   The calculator uses the Treated area from the form and shows it above the result. If it is empty, tap Fill in the treated area and enter it in the first step, where you can also correct the suggestion from the fields you picked.

   Save the result

   Once the result appears, tap Save and apply. The app copies the calculated product amount and, where relevant, the water amount into the treatment form.

The Water amount mode

The Water amount mode is useful when you plan the amount of spray first and then want to work out the amount of product. It is not available for granular spreading.

   Choose Water amount

   In the calculator, choose the Water amount mode. You then see the product dose in relation to an amount of water.

   Enter the ratio from the label

   In the Dosage from the label section, enter the product amount and the amount of water that dose refers to.

   Enter the target water amount

   In the Target water amount section, enter how much spray you want to mix.

   Apply the calculation

   When the calculator shows the result, tap Save and apply. The result fills in the product amount and the water in the treatment.

The standalone calculator

   Open the calculator

   Tap the calculator icon at the top of the Journal, or go to More and choose Calculator. The result here is for reference only and is not saved to a treatment.

   Choose how to calculate

   Area works out the dose from the area to spray. Water amount works from the amount of spray you want to mix.

   Enter the dose from the label

   Enter the product amount and unit, for example kg/ha or ml/100m², and the water amount for the same area.

   Add your sprayer capacity

   This field is optional. Once you fill it in, you see the number of full tank fills, the last partial fill and how much product goes into each.
